The Department of Foreign Affairs handles the accreditation and decides if you will be placed on their official list which is distributed to the different governmental departments and organizations.

After FPA gets access to your accreditation you can apply for membership. The Board then reviews your application for membership at a board meeting.

Our members can then apply for an official Swedish press and identity card  It is FPA that supplies the official Swedish press and identity card.

The press card is the property of FPA and shall be returned when you no longer are a member or move out of Sweden.

To apply for a new press card caused by loss, you have to have a police report from the country where your press card was lost and a report from the Swedish police. These two police reports are to be sent to The Department of Foreign Affairs and The Foreign Press Association of Swed
